THE COUNCIL SERVES AS AN ADVOCATE FOR RETAILERS' INTERESTS. THE COUNCIL KEEPS MEMBERS UPDATED ON CURRENT ISSUES RELATED TO RETAILING AND ACTIVELY REPRESENTS THEIR INTERESTS AT THE FEDERAL, STATE, AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT LEVELS.


THE MEMBERS MEET ONCE A YEAR AT THE ANNUAL MEETING TO DISCUSS ISSUES RELATED TO THE RETAIL INDUSTRY AND THE COUNCILS' PROGRESS AND GOALS. THE COUNCIL HAD APPROXIMATELY 7,400 MEMBERS DURING FISCAL YEAR 2020.
