THE MISSION OF THE OHIO ASSOCIATION OF AMBULATORY SURGERY CENTERS IS TO ENHANCE THE QUALITY OF CARE IN OHIO AMBULATORY SURGERY CENTERS, PROVIDE LEGISLATIVE AND REGULATORY REPRESENTATION FOR AMBULATORY SURGERY CENTERS AND TO ADVOCATE THEIR INTERESTS AND THOSE OF THEIR PATIENTS. THE ASSOCIATION PROMOTES PUBLIC AWARENESS OF AMBULATORY SURGERY CENTERS, ACTS AS SPOKESPERSON AND REPRESENTATIVE TO PRESENT THE VIEWS OF AMBULATORY SURGERY CENTERS IN APPROPRIATE FORUMS. THE ASSOCIATION ENCOURAGES HIGH STANDARDS OF PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT BY ORGANIZATIONS PROVIDING AMBULATORY SURGICAL CARE AND PROVIDES OPPORTUNITIES FOR MEMBERS TO ENHANCE THEIR AMBULATORY SURGICAL CARE PRACTICES AND METHODS. THE OHIO ASSOCIATION OF AMBULATORY SURGICAL CENTERS (OAASC) PROVIDES A VARIETY OF DIFFERENT WORKSHOPS, CONFERENCES AND OTHER EDUCATION OPPORTUNITIES TO ITS MEMBERS. THESE PROGRAMS HELP TO EDUCATE AND ASSIST MEMBER ORGANIZATIONS IN DEVELOPING OPERATIONAL PROGRAMS. OAASC ALSO PROVIDES MEMBERS WITH INFORMATION TO ENABLE THEIR CENTERS TO OPERATE USING STATE-OF-THE-ART SURGICAL, TECHNICAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE PROCEDURES. OAASC OFFERS AN ANNUAL MULTI-DAY CONFERENCE, TIMELY EDUCATION OFFERINGS INCLUDING IN-PERSON AND WEB SEMINARS AND REGULAR NEWSLETTERS ON REIMBURSEMENT, REGULATORY COMPLIANCE, QUALITY STANDARDS, AND OTHER INDUSTRY SPECIFIC ISSUES.
