THE MISSION OF HOUSING OPPORTUNITIES, INC. IS TO SERVE BARTON, PAWNEE, AND RICE COUNTIES IN KANSAS. THE ORGANIZATION IS COMMITTED TO PROVIDING DECENT, SAFE, SANITARY, AND AFFORDABLE HOUSING FOR EVERY FAMILY, ESPECIALLY THOSE FAMILIES WITH LOW TO VERY LOW INCOME. THE PROGRAMS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, THE PRODUCTION OF AFFORDABLE HOUSING TO ENABLE HOME OWNERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES AND/OR RENTAL ALTERNATIVES FOR FAMILIES THAT CANNOT OTHERWISE AFFORD TO PURCHASE OR RENT SAFE AND DECENT HOUSING.

HOI WORKS WITH AND PUTS TOGETHER APPLICATIONS FOR GRANT MONEY THROUGH GOVERNMENT PROGRAMS FOR INCOME-BASED HOUSING. AFTER BEING AWARDED THE FUNDS FOR THESE PROJECTS, HOI BEGINS CONSTRUCTION ON THE PROPERTY. ONCE THE PROPERTY IS BUILT AND READY FOR TENANTS, HOI MANAGES THE PROPERTIES FROM RENTING TO MAINTENANCE.
