THE PRIMARY PURPOSE OF WYANDOT RUN PTO IS TO ENHANCE BOTH THE EDUCATIONAL FACILITIES AND THE OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE STUDENTS OF WYANDOT RUN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL BY PROVIDING SUPPORT FOR THEIR EDUCATIONAL NEEDS BY PROMOTING OPEN COMMUNICATION BETWEEN FACULTY, STAFF, STUDENTS, PARENTS, AND THE ADMINISTRATION. PROGRAM ACCOMPLISHMENTS FOR THE 2021-2022 SCHOOL YEAR INCLUDE:ASSEMBLIES: WRPTO PROVIDES FUNDS FOR VARIOUS STUDENT ASSEMBLIES THROUGHOUT THE YEAR INCLUDING SUPERGAMES.MISC. PROGRAMS: WRPTO HELPS FUND MANY PROGRAMS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, INCLUDING CAMP SKEETER FOR FIRST GRADE, PIONEER DAY FOR THE THIRD GRADE, A JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT BIZTOWN FIELD TRIP AND FIELD DAY FOR THE FIFTH GRADE, AND WRITE SHOP, WHERE STUDENTS ARE ABLE TO PUBLISH THEIR OWN NARRATIVES AND ART INTO BOUND BOOKS. ENRICHMENT DAY FOR ALL GRADES WHERE THEY LEARN ABOUT VARIOUS CAREERS AND ACTIVITIES AVAILABLE IN THEIR LOCAL COMMUNITY. AND VARIOUS FIELD TRIPS FOR ALL GRADE LEVELS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR.AUTHOR VISIT: NOTED CHILDREN'S AUTHORS ARE INVITED TO SPEAK AND VISIT WITH THE STUDENTS.BOOK FAIR: STUDENTS, STAFF AND FAMILIES ARE GIVEN AN OPPORTUNITY TO PURCHASE BOOKS FOR HOME AND CLASSROOM LIBRARIES.TALENT SHOW: WRPTO SPONSORS A STUDENT LED TALENT SHOW TO ALLOW STUDENTS TO SHARE THEIR TALENTS WITH STUDENTS, STAFF AND FAMILIES.STAFF APPRECIATION: WRPTO FUNDS VARIOUS ACTIVITIES THROUGHOUT THE YEAR FOR STAFF, INCLUDING DINNERS ON CONFERENCE NIGHTS, RECOGNITION OF STAFF BIRTHDAYS, AND A STAFF LUNCHEON.
