THE MEMBER'S OF THE LAURELVILLE VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT, DO HERE BY CREATE THIS ASSOCIATION OF ITS MEMBERS. THIS ORGANIZATION WILL BE CALLED THE "LAURELVILLE VOLUNTEER FIREMEN'S ASSOCIATION". THIS IS DONE WITH HOPES OF BENEFITING THE PEOPLE OF THE SAID FIRE DISTRICT TO WHICH THEY SERVE. THE MEMBERSHIP WILL ABIDE BY THE BY-LAWS SET FORTH, SO THAT THEY MAY REMAIN IN GOOD STANDING WITH THE ASSOCIATION AND THE COMMUNITY TO WHICH THEY SERVE. THE ASSOCIATION WILL HAVE A FUND RAISING EVENT DURING THE THIRD WEEK OF JULY, CALLED THE FIREMEN'S OLD TIME FESTIVAL. THE MONIES FROM THIS EVENT WILL BE USED TO PURCHASE FIRE EQUIPMENT THAT WILL AID IN THE SUPPRESSION OF FIRE'S IN OUR AREA. THESE MONIES WILL ALSO BE USED TO HELP FUND A CHRISTMAS PROJECT TO FEED NEEDY FAMILIES IN OUR FIRE AREA AND TO PUT TOY'S IN THE ARMS OF CHILDREN AT CHRISTMAS TIME. A: THE LAURELVILLE VOLUNTEER FIREMEN'S ASSOCIATION IS ORGANIZED EXCLUSIVELY FOR CHARITABLE, EDUCATIONAL, SCIENTIFIC, AND FIRE FIGHTING PURPOSES, INCLUDING, FOR SUCH PURPOSES, THE MAKING OF DISTRIBUTIONS TO ORGANIZATIONS THAT QUALIFY AS EXEMPT ORGANIZATIONS UNDER SECTION 501(C)(9) OF THE INTERNAL REVENUE CODE, OR CORRESPONDING SECTION OF ANY FUTURE FEDERAL TAX CODE. B: NO PART OF THE NET EARNINGS OF THE ORGANIZATION SHALL INURE TO THE BENEFIT OF, OR BE DISTRIBUTED TO ITS MEMBERS, TRUSTEES, OFFICERS, OR OTHER PRIVATE PERSONS, EXCEPT THAT THE ORGANIZATION SHALL BE AUTHORIZED AND EMPOWERED TO PAY REASONABLE COMPENSATION FOR SERVICES RENDERED AND TO MAKE PAYMENTS AND DISTRIBUTIONS IN FURTHERANCE OF THE PURPOSES SET FORTH IN THE PURPOSE CLAUSE HEREOF. OUR CHRISTMAS PROGRAM IS DESIGNED TO PUT FOOD ON THE TABLE'S OF NEEDY FAMILIES AND TOYS IN THE ARMS OF CHILDREN AT CHRISTMAS. THESE FAMILIES ARE SELECTED BY THE LAURELVILLE FOOD PANTRY AND CROSSED CHECKED WITH A LIST FROM HOCKING COUNTY TO ENSURE NO ONE IS DUPLICATED. THIS YEAR WE HANDED OUT 50 FOOD BASKETS AND TOYS FOR 130 CHILDREN AND 53 FOOD BASKETS TO OUR SENOIR CITIZENS,
