WORKING WITH THE OHIO GOVERNOR AND LEGISLATURE TO EDUCATE ON BEHALF OF OHIO'S BUSINESS COMMUNITY AND TO SUPPORT PUBLIC POLICY THAT IMPROVES OHIO'S BUSINESS CLIMATE AND JOB GROWTH. AS PART OF THIS WORK, OHIO BUSINESS ROUNDTABLE (OBRT) CREATED THE COALITION TO STOP THE SPREAD IN THE FALL OF 2020. THE COALITION WAS AN EMPLOYER-DRIVEN AND GRASSROOTS CAMPAIGN TO COMMUNICATE TO OHIOANS THE NEED TO CONTAIN AND SLOW THE SPREAD OF COVID-19.
GROWING OUR MEMBERSHIP AND HOLDING MEMBERSHIP EVENTS TO MORE EFFECTIVELY CONNECT AND ENGAGE OHIO'S MAJOR EMPLOYERS. IN RESPONSE TO THE NEED TO SOCIAL DISTANCE AND PREVENT THE SPREAD OF COVID-19, OBRT HOSTED VIRTUAL MEMBER MEETINGS ON CURRENT TOPICS SUCH AS CYBERSECURITY, THE FUTURE OF WORK, EMPLOYEE MENTAL HEALTH, INDUSTRY LABOR SUPPLY CHALLENGES AND WORKFORCE AND MANY OTHERS.
RESEARCHING, SUPPORTING AND ADVOCATING FOR PUBLIC AND PRIVATE INITIATIVES THAT ADDRESS WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT IN OHIO, INCLUDING PROMOTING INCREASING NET MIGRATION, RESKILLING WORKERS, ALIGNING EDUCATION CURRICULUM AND PROMOTING A HEALTHY WORKFORCE.
