THE PURPOSE OF THE RUTH LYONS CHILDREN'S FUND IS TO ENCOURAGE AND SUPPORT HOSPITALS BY PROVIDING A PLEASANT ATMOSPHERE FOR PEDIATRIC PATIENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES BY SUPPLYING FUNDING FOR EXTRA TOUCHES DURING THEIR STAY AT THE HEALTHCARE FACILITY.

THE CHRIST HOSPITAL - CINCINNATI, OH PROVIDED THE HOSPITAL WITH A FIRST TIME GRANT OF $155,000. THIS DONATION IS TO SUPPORT CHRIST HOSPITAL'S NEWLY UPGRADED LEVEL III NICU UNIT ALONG WITH PROVIDING "MOM AND BABY TO GO" SETS. THESE SETS WILL INCLUDE A COZY SNUGGLE BLANKET FOR THE MOTHER TO USE WHILE AT THE HOSPITAL AND AT HOME. THE NEWBORNS WILL RECEIVE CUSTOMIZED NICU GRADUATE ONESIES. THESE GIFTS WILL SUPPORT OVER 5000 NEWBORNS AND FAMILIES AT BOTH THE MOUNT AUBURN AND LIBERTY TOWNSHIP BIRTHING CENTERS.
GOOD SAMARITAN HOSPITAL - CINCINNATI, OH PROVIDED THE HOSPITAL WITH A $40,000 GRANT TO CONTINUE THE UNIQUE GIFTING PROGRAM WHERE THE HOSPITAL PROVIDES EACH FAMILY WITH AN INFANT IN THE NICU UNIT WITH A HANDMADE PERSONALIZED QUILT. THE INFANTS ALSO RECEIVE AN EMBROIDERED RUTH LYONS CHILDREN'S FUND ONESIE-SLEEP SACK. BOTH ITEMS SERVE AS A FAMILY KEEPSAKE.
