COMPETENCY: THIS PROGRAM ENCOMPASSES ALL ACTIVITIES RELATED TO VERIFYING INITIAL AND CONTINUED COMPETENCE FOR CANDIDATES SEEKING OR MAINTAINING CERTIFICATION.
COMMUNITY RELATIONS AND RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT: THIS PROGRAM ACCOUNTS FOR ALL COMMUNITY OUTREACH EFFORTS OF THE REGISTRY INCLUDING DISPLAY BOOTHS AT EMS CONFERENCE, TRAVELING AND PRESENTING AT EMS EVENTS, VISITING AND IMPROVING RELATIONS WITH STATE EMS OFFICES AND OTHER RELATED TRAVEL. THE REGISTRY ALSO SPONSORS A TEAM OF RESEARCH FELLOWS THAT FOCUS THEIR RESEARCH IN THE FIELD OF EMERGENCY MEDICINE WHILE ALSO SUPPORTING THE REGISTRY'S OVERALL MISSION.
INFORMATION: THE REGISTRY MANAGES A NATIONAL DATABASE OF EMS PRACTITIONERS THAT INTERFACES WITH STATE LICENSURE BODIES, EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS AND EMS AGENCIES.
