PROMOTION OF THE LITERARY ARTS AS A CENTER FOR CREATION, PRESENTATION, AND PUBLICATION OF WORKS AND EDUCATION ABOUT WRITING AND LITERATURE FOR MEMBERS AND THE PUBLIC.

MEMBERS MEET ON MONDAY NIGHTS IN THE CLUB'S HISTORIC BUILDING IN DOWNTOWN CINCINNATI, OH. THE BUILDING HOUSES ALL PAPERS WRITTEN SINCE 1885. EACH MEMBER MUST REGULARLY WRITE AND PRESENT A PAPER AT THE MEETINGS. MEMBERS INCLUDE MANY PROFESSIONS SUCH AS TEACHERS, DOCTORS, AND LAWYERS. PAST MEMBERS HAVE INCLUDED PRESIDENTS RUTHERFORD B. HAYES AND WILLIAM HOWARD TAFT.DURING A PANDEMIC, THE LITERARY CLUB MOVED TO ONLINE PRESENTATION OF MORE THAN FIFTY ORIGINAL PAPERS TO MEMBERS AND THE PUBLIC AND MADE THEM AVAILABLE FOR PUBLIC ARCHIVAL PURPOSES. THE LITERARY CLUB HOSTED PUBLIC EVENTS IN PERSON AND ONLINE OF NOTED AUTHORS AND EDUCATORS ABOUT WRITING AND OF SEVERAL POETS LAUREATE OF THEIR POETRY AND THIS LITERARY ART FORM. THE LITERARY CLUB PUBLISHED A BOOK OF TWENTY ORIGINAL PIECES CHOSEN FROM A COMPETITION AROUND THE THEME, WHAT IT COST.
