MEMBERS MEET ON MONDAY NIGHTS IN THE CLUB'S HISTORIC BUILDING IN DOWNTOWN CINCINNATI, OH. THE BUILDING HOUSES ALL PAPERS WRITTEN SINCE 1885. EACH MEMBER MUST REGULARLY WRITE AND PRESENT A PAPER AT THE MEETINGS. MEMBERS INCLUDE MANY PROFESSIONS SUCH AS TEACHERS, DOCTORS, AND LAWYERS. PAST MEMBERS HAVE INCLUDED PRESIDENTS RUTHERFORD B. HAYES AND WILLIAM HOWARD TAFT.THE LITERARY CLUB HOSTED PUBLIC EVENTS OF NOTED AUTHORS AND EDUCATORS ABOUT WRITING AND OF SEVERAL POETS LAUREATE OF THEIR POETRY AND THIS LITERARY ART FORM. THE LITERARY CLUB ANNUALLY PUBLISHES A BOOK OF ORIGINAL PIECES CHOSEN FROM A COMPETITION AROUND THE THEME.
