THE ORGANIZATION, THROUGH ITS PAC & PCE, IS INVOLVED IN RESEARCHING AND SUPPORTING LEGISLATION FAVORABLE TO FIREFIGHTERS AND CAMPAIGNS OF INDIVIDUALS SEEKING PUBLIC OFFICE. THE INDIVIDUALS ARE CHOSEN BASED ON THEIR SUPPORT OF ISSUES IMPORTANT TO OHIO FIREFIGHTERS. THIS ORGANIZATION ALSO HAS REGISTERED LOBBYISTS ON STAFF.


THE ORGANIZATION HOSTED TWO EVENTS IN 2022--AN EDUCATIONAL CONFERENCE AND THE OHIO FIREFIGHTER CONVENTION. IN ADDITION, IT'S REPRESENTATIVES ATTENDED SEVEN CONFERENCES & MEETINGS IN THE UNITED STATES & CANADA. THESE MEETINGS PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES TO MEET & EXCHANGE INFORMATION & IDEAS REGARDING THEIR PROFESSION WITH OTHER PROFESSIONAL FIREFIGHTERS.


THE ORGANIZATION IS AN AFFILIATE OF THE AFL-CIO. DUES ARE PAID TO THE AFL-CIO ON BEHALF OF EACH OF THE APPX 13,210 MEMBERS OF THE ORGANIZATION. THE AFL-CIO PROVIDES SUPPORT & RESOURCES USEFUL TO THE ORGANIZATION AND ITS MEMBERSHIP.
