FRIENDSHIP NIGHT- FRIDAY EVENINGS WHERE SPECIAL NEEDS ADULTS DINE TOGETHER, MAKE A CRAFT, SING AND LISTEN TO MOTIVATIONAL STORIES. MONTHLY EVENTS HELD ON THE FIRST FRIDAY OF EVERY MONTH. WE HAVE 20 ACTIVE VOLUNTEERS AND AVERAGE 5-10 VOLUNTEERS PER EVENT FOR APPROXIMATELY 2 HOURS. THE AVERAGE COUNT OF SPECIAL NEEDS ADULTS PARTICIPATING WERE 60. NINE EVENTS WERE HELD IN 2023.
FRIENDSHIP HOUSE-DAY PROGRAM FOR SPECIAL NEEDS ADULTS TO LEARN LIFE SKILLS, PERFORM SERVICES FOR OTHERS AND LEARN TO PRODUCE, MARKET AND SELL PRODUCTS TO SUPPORT THEIR PROGRAM. PROGRAM BEGAN JAN 1, 2023 WITH 17 SPECIAL NEEDS ADULTS, 3 FULL TIME EMPLOYEES AND 1 FULL TIME VOLUNTEER. WE ADDED AN ADDITIONAL FULL TIME EMPLOYEE IN SEP 2023. THERE ARE NOW 19 SPECIAL NEEDS ADULTS PARTICIPATING IN THE PROGRAM AS OF 12/31/2023. IN ADDITION TO THE 1 FULL TIME VOLUNTEER WE HAD 4 OTHER REGULAR VOLUNTEERS DURING 2023. THE DAY PROGRAM MEETS 5 DAYS A WEEK THROUGH THE YEAR WITH CERTAIN HOLIDAYS OBSERVED.
