THE PETER MAURIN CENTER OF AKRON SERVES THE HOMELESS AND INDIGENT INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES IN AND AROUND THE CITY OF AKRON BY OFFERING PREPARED MEALS, WARM CLOTHING, SPIRTUAL AND CORPORAL SUPPORT AT OUR FACILITIES, AND TO THE UNSHELTERED STREETS OF AKRON.

THESE EXPENSES INCURRED INCLUDE EXPENSES THAT REPRESENT THE PETER MAURIN THESE EXPENSES INCURRED INCLUDE EXPENSES THAT REPRESENT THE PETER MAURIN
THESE EXPENSES INCURRED INCLUDE EXPENSES THAT REPRESENT THE PETER MAURIN CENTER'S MAIN EXEMPT PURPOSE. THESE INCLUDE 500 MEALS A MONTH AND SUPPLYING CLOTHES, TOILETRIES, BUS PASSES, AND BIKES. IN ADDITION, WE PREPARE AND SERVE FOOD TO THE HOMELESS OUT IN THE COMMUNITY THAT DO NOT COME TO THE CENTER. THESE MEALS ARE SERVED ON SATURDAYS AND WE AVERAGE ABOUT 200 MEALS OUTSIDE OF THE CENTER PER MONTH. IN THE WINTER AND COLD EVENINGS, WE BRING IN ABOUT 25 TO 30 HOMLESS INDIVIDUALS TO SLEEP AT OUR CENTER, WHICH AVERAGES 25 TO 30 EVENINGS A YEAR.
