Describe the Organization's Mission:

Part 3 - Line 1

TO HELP FIND PERMANENT HOMES FOR STRAY, ABANDONED, OR OTHERWISE HOMELESS DOGS. EVERY DOG THAT COMES TO THE DOG RESCUE IS SPAYED OR NEUTERED AND GIVEN THEIR NECESSARY VACCINATIONS. THE DOGS ARE NOT KEPT IN KENNELS OR CAGES (THEY ARE TREATED LIKE FAMILY) AND COEXIST WITH THE OTHER DOGS ON THE PROPERTY. DOGS ARE LEASH TRAINED, HOUSEBROKEN, TAUGHT TO RIDE IN A VEHICLE AND HOW TO CONDUCT THEMSELVES AROUND HUMANS AND OTHER DOGS. WE ALSO REHABILITATE SEVERELY INJURED AND SICK ANIMALS.

Describe the Organization's Program Activity:

Part 3 - Line 4a

MIRACLE MUTTS THERAPY DOG PROGRAM IS A COMMUNITY OUTREACH AND EDUCATION PROGRAM. UTILIZING ALL BREEDS, THERAPY DOGS ARE TRAINED TO PROVIDE AFFECTION, COMFORT AND SUPPORT TO PEOPLE IN HOSPITALS, LIBRARIES, UNIVERSITIES, RETIREMENT HOMES, HOMELESS SHELTERS, UNDERSERVED ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS, HOSPICE OR HIGHT-STRESS AREAS, SERVING NEARLY 500 PEOPLE. THIS PROGRAM IS POWERED BY HUMAN VOLUNTEERS AND THEIR CERTIFIED THERAPY DOGS, MANY OF WHICH WERE MARLEY'S MUTTS RESCUES.

PAWSITIVE CHANGE PRISON PROGRAM SERVED 3 CALIFORNIA STATE PRISONS AND 1 JUVENILE FACILITY. 60 DOGS WERE PAIRED WITH 120 INMATES AND 20 JUVENILE GIRLS USING DOG PSYCHOLOGY TO OBEDIENCE TRAIN. THE CANINE/HUMAN BOND THAT WAS FORMED RESULTED IN THESE POSITIVES: INMATES, JUVENILES AND DOGS GRADUATED WITH A CERTIFICATE, THAT PREPARED DOGS FOR ADOPTION WHILE PREPARING INMATES/JUVENILES TO BE EQUIPPED TO ENTER THE WORKFORCE WHEN THEY ARE RELEASED. NO REPORTS OF RECIDIVISM OF THOSE RELEASED.

WE PROVIDED COSTS OF FOOD, LEASHES, & VET EXPENSES FOR CERTAIN FOSTER FAMILIES WHO WERE CARING FOR DOGS UNTIL FOREVER HOMES COULD BE FOUND.
