FULL TIME PERSONNEL, PART TIME PERSONNEL AND SEASONAL COUNSELORS USED THE FACILITIES, INCLUDING 10 CABINS, SPORTS PAVILION, POOL, LAKE, ARTS & CRAFTS PAVILION, AND DINING HALL TO SERVE DISADVANTAGED KIDS FROM THE INNER CITY OF PITTSBURGH AND SURROUNDING AREAS DURING 8 WEEKLY CAMP SESSIONS DURING THE SUMMER MONTHS.
FAITH BASED ORGANIZATIONS USE THE CAMP FACILITIES AS A RETREAT THROUGHOUT THE SPRING AND FALL TO WORSHIP, INSTRUCT, AND HAVE FELLOWSHIP. IN ADDITION, MENTORING GROUPS USE THE FACILITIES TO IMPACT LIVES OF CHILDREN.
SPIRITUAL GUIDANCE/INSTRUCTION FROM COUNSELORS IN GROUP SESSIONS WITH YOUNGSTERS OCCURRED THROUGH BIBLE STUDIES, BOOKS AND CHRISTIAN MATERIALS. OVERALL, APPROXIMATELY 1500 PEOPLE MOSTLY YOUNGSTERS BENEFITED FROM THE MINISTRY AT THE CAMP FACILITIES.
STAFF AND REPRESENTATIVE OF THE CAMP CONTINUE TO INTERACT WITH CHRISTIAN CHURCHES IN THE INNER CITY OF PITTSBURGH AND SURROUNDING AREAS TO RECRUIT CAMPERS FOR A CHRISTIAN EXPERIENCE AT THE CAMP FACILITIES.
