CAMPUS: THROUGH CAMPUS PROGRAMMING, IA BUILDS THE CAPACITY OF EDUCATORS, ADMINISTRATORS, AND STUDENTS TO ENGAGE PRODUCTIVELY WITH RELIGIOUS DIVERSITY. IA OFFERS GRANTS AND OTHER FUNDING, DEVELOPS LEARNING TOOLS, AND CURRICULA, AND LEADS CONSULTATIONS AND TRAINING FOR CAMPUS LEADERS. IN 2023, 505 CAMPUSES PARTICIPATED IN SUBSTANTIVE IA PROGRAMS DESIGNED TO ENACT INSTITUTIONAL CHANGE AROUND INTERFAITH ENGAGEMENT. SINCE THE LAUNCH OF THE ASYNCHRONOUS LEARNING RESOURCE, "INTF 101: FOUNDATIONS OF INTERFAITH LEADERSHIP", 200+ INDIVIDUALS HAVE COMPLETED THE COURSE, AND AN ADDITIONAL 750 INDIVIDUALS HAVE ENGAGED IN ELEMENTS OF THE COURSE. IA'S FLAGSHIP HIGHER EDUCATION TRAINING OPPORTUNITY, THE INTERFAITH LEADERSHIP SUMMIT, WELCOMED 315 ATTENDEES IN AUGUST 2023 INCLUDING, FOR THE FIRST TIME, SENIOR ADMINISTRATORS WHO PARTICIPATED IN THEIR OWN PROGRAM TRACK.
NARRATIVE: IA UTILIZES A RANGE OF STRATEGIES TO INSPIRE THE BROADER PUBLIC TO POSITIVELY AND PROACTIVELY ENGAGE RELIGIOUS DIVERSITY FOR THE COMMON GOOD. IA PUBLISHED 283 ORIGINAL ARTICLES ON THE ONLINE INTERFAITH AMERICA MAGAZINE. IN FALL 2022, IA LAUNCHED THE "INTERFAITH AMERICA WITH EBOO PATEL" PODCAST TO EXPLORE AMERICA'S CHANGING RELIGIOUS LANDSCAPE AND TALK ABOUT THE WAYS RELIGION CAN BE A BRIDGE OF COOPERATION, NOT A BARRIER OF DIVISION. IA ALSO SUPPORTED THE 2,100+ MEMBERS OF THE EMERGING LEADERS NETWORK THROUGH FELLOWSHIP AND NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES, INCLUDING THE INTERFAITH INNOVATION FELLOWSHIP, SACRED JOURNEY FELLOWSHIP, ANNUAL CONVENING, AND INTERFAITH AT WORK COHORTS.
INNOVATION: INNOVATION INITIATIVES APPLY IA'S HISTORY, THOUGHT LEADERSHIP, AND DEEP EXPERTISE TO NEW CIVIC SPACES SUCH AS FAITH AND HEALTH AND DEMOCRACY. IA NOW HAS 250 FACULTY IN OUR FAITH AND HEALTH NETWORK, INCLUDING 70 LEADERS FROM ACROSS THE HEALTH ECOSYSTEM WHO HAVE OPTED INTO THE FAITH AND HEALTH DIRECTORY AND AN ADDITIONAL INTERFAITH HEALTHCARE COHORT OF 75+ MEMBERS IN THE EMERGING LEADERS NETWORK. OUR EFFORTS TO ADVANCE A PLURALISTIC MINDSET ACROSS THE CIVIC LANDSCAPE ARE HIGHLIGHTED BY THE TEAM UP PROJECT, A COLLABORATION WITH CATHOLIC CHARITIES, HABITAT FOR HUMANITY INTERNATIONAL, AND THE YMCA OF THE USA. PHASE 1 OF THE PROJECT SUPPORTED 30 LOCAL AFFILIATES TO CARRY OUT PROGRAMS THAT BRIDGE ACROSS DEEP DIVIDES AND UNITE PEOPLE WITH THEIR NEIGHBORS. IA ALSO IS ESTABLISHING A CONSULTING PRACTICE TO GROW CAPACITY TO ENGAGE RELIGIOUS DIVERSITY IN THE CORPORATE SECTOR.
