TRANSITION TRAINING - TRANSITION TRAINING INVOLVES TAKING PARTICIPANTS THROUGH A FIVE-STEP PROCESS THAT FULL LIFE AHEAD HAS DEVELOPED TO ASSIST AN INDIVIDUAL WITH A DISABILITY IN PREPARING FOR LIFE AFTER HIGH SCHOOL. THE PROCESS INVOLVES CREATING HOPE, ENCOURAGING DREAMS, INVOLVING COMMUNITY, CREATING ACTION STEPS AND ACHIEVING THE PLAN THAT THE INDIVIDUAL WITH A DISABILITY IS FOCUSED ON CREATING. THE PLAN IS A MAP TO ACHIEVEING THE DREAMS AND GOALS OF THE INDIVIDUAL SO THAT THEY DETERMINE THEIR FUTURE AND ITS DIRECTION. TRAINING INCLUDES PUBLIC SPEAKING, CONFERENCES, PARENT GROUPS, AND SCHOOL MEETINGS ABOUT THE FULL LIFE AHEAD PROGRAM AND PROCESS. THIS HELPS TO PROVIDE DIRECTION FOR THE FUTURE OF THE INDIVIDUAL WHO IS EXPERIENCING CHALLENGES.
