RLM OPERATES AN ADDICTION RECOVERY RESIDENCE PROGRAM IN ANAHEIM, CA. THIS HOUSE HAS BEEN IN CONTINUOUS USE SINCE AUGUST 2011. ALL MEN IN THE HOME ATTEND KNOTT AVENUE CHRISTIAN CHURCH OR ANOTHER EVANGELICAL CHURCH THREE TIMES A WEEK. TUESDAY NIGHT MENS BIBLE STUDY, FRIDAY NIGHT RECOVERY, AND SUNDAY MORNING WORSHIP SERVICE. SEVERAL SERVE IN VOLUNTEER CAPACITIES AT THESE WEEKLY MEETINGS. IN 2021, THE HOUSE WAS AT CAPACITY WITH EIGHT (8) MEN PARTICIPATING IN THE RESIDENCE PROGRAM ALL MEN ARE EMPLOYED AND HAVE BEEN ABLE TO PAY THE NOMINAL RENT REQUIRED TO STAY IN THE HOME. THE HOUSE MANAGER, RESIDES AT THE HOUSE, HOLDS THE MEN ACCOUNTABLE AND PERIODICALLY ADMINISTERS RANDOM DRUG TESTS. THE RESIDENTS ALSO ACTIVELY MONITOR EACH OTHER AND PROVIDE SUPPORT.EVEN EDLEMAN IS THE CURRENT HOUSE MANAGER. HIS RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE OVERSIGHT OF ALL RESIDENTS, INTAKE PAPERWORK, ADMINISTRATIVE TASKS, INCLUDING COLLECTION OF RENTS AND COORDINATING MINOR MAINTENANCE CONCERNS, AND ADMINISTERS RANDOM DRUG TESTING OF THE RESIDENTS. EVAN IS NOW THE FIFTH HOUSE MANAGER FOR THIS HOME. THE PREVIOUS MANAGERS HAVE SUCCESSFULLY MOVED FORWARD INTO THE NEXT STAGES IN LIFE (MARRIAGE, FULL-TIME WORK, ETC.) THROUGHOUT 2021, WE PURSUED A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO ALLOW US TO OPERATE A LARGE SOBER LIVING FACILITY. THIS APPLICATION HAS SINCE BEEN WITHDRAWN AND WE PLAN TO CONTINUE FORWARD OPERATING AS A SMALL SOBER LIVING FACILITY, ALLOWING US TO SERVE UP TO SIX MEN PLUS ONE HOUSE MANAGER AT THIS LOCATION. WE HAVE MADE NECESSARY ADJUSTMENTS TO OUR RESIDENTS AND ARE NOW WITHIN THIS LIMIT REQUIREMENT. THE RLM MISSION IS TO HELP MEN MOVE FROM CRISIS TO CHRIST. EMPHASIS IS ON CONTINUED HEALTHY RECOVERY AND SPIRITUAL GROWTH. ALL MEN CONTINUE TO WORK ON LIFE-LONG SOBRIETY IN CONJUNCTION WITH THEIR SPIRITUAL JOURNEYS.
