TO SUPPORT THE WORK OF SURRY COUNTY SCHOOLS AND TO HELP RAISE THE LEVEL OF EDUCATION IN SURRY COUNTY. MONIES RAISED BY THE FOUNDATION WILL PROVIDE EDUCATION SUPPLIES TO STUDENTS WITH DEMONSTRATED FINANCIAL NEED; AWARD GRANT MONIES TO TEACHERS WITH EXTRAORDINARY CLASSROOM PROJECTS; PROVIDE ADDITIONAL LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES SUCH AS ACADEMIC CAMPS, TECHNOLOGY, ETC.; PROVIDE PROFESSIONAL LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES FOR TEACHERS; PROMOTE EXCELLENCE IN ACADEMIC LEADERSHIP; AND FACILITATE SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES.

IN 2023 THE FOUNDATION MADE GRANTS TO ALL 20 SCHOOLS IN THE DISTRICT IN ORDER TO SUPPORT EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES OF SURRY COUNTY SCHOOLS. DURING 2023 GRANTS WERE USED FOR TRANSPORTATION TO VARIOUS ACADEMIC AND ARTS COMPETITIONS AND PERFORMANCES, SUMMER LEARNING PROGRAMS, ACADEMIC AND ARTS CLUB SUPPLIES, EDUCATIONAL FIELD TRIP ASSISTANCE, ARTS PERFORMANCE SUPPORT, AND MORE
