BOOTS ON THE GROUND IS A TEAM OF VETERANS THAT CARE ABOUT AMERICAN VETERANS. WE COLLECT AND DELIVER FOOD AND FURNITURE FOR VETERANS AND THEIR FAMILIES, AND THESE ARE USUALLY THE VETERANS THAT EVERYONE ELSE OVERLOOKED OR HAVE FORGOTTEN. NO VETERAN SHOULD BE HUNGRY OR SLEEPING ON THE FLOOR. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO SHIPS CARE PACKAGES MONTHLY TO MILITARY UNITS THAT DO NOT HAVE ACCESS TO CERTAIN SUPPLIES. WE PROVIDE WHAT WE CAN TO THOSE THAT NEED IT MOST. WE OPEN OUR DOORS AND HEARTS TO ANY VETERAN THAT NEEDS OUR ASSISTANCE. WE ARE HERE FOR THE FAMILIES OF THE DEPLOYED. WE ARE HERE FOR THE FAMILIES OF THOSE TAKEN IN THE SERVICE OF THEIR COUNTRY.

BOOTS ON THE GROUND, THROUGH THE VETERAN ACTIVITY CENTER, PROVIDES FOOD, FURNITURE AND SUPPORT FOR VETERANS IN NEED. IT MAINTAINS A FOOD PANTRY (CANNED, BOXED, FROZEN AND FRESH) AND IT HAS ON SITE FREEZERS AND REFRIGERATORS TO STOCK ANY TYPE OF FOOD. IT COLLECTS, CLEANS, AND REFURBISHES USED FURNITURE AS WELL AS OVERSTOCK FROM RETAIL ESTABLISHMENTS. IT WORKS CLOSELY WITH OTHER ORGANIZATIONS AND THEIR CASE WORKERS WHICH PUTS IT CONTACT WITH VETERANS AND THEIR FAMILIES THAT RECENTLY BEEN HOUSED IN HOMELESS SHELTERS OR IN SOME CASES DOMESTIC ABUSE SHELTERS. IT ALSO ACTIVELY ENGAGES IN EVENTS AIMED TO COLLECT MATERIAL DONATIONS FOR THE MILITARY SERVING IN HARMS WAY ALL OVER THE WORLD. IT ASSEMBLES AND SENDS CARE PACKAGES TO TROOPS AND THEIR UNITS THAT MAY NOT HAVE PX'S AVAILABLE IN THEIR AREAS OF OPERATION.
