IN 2021, BIODIVERSITY WORKS ENGAGED WITH LANDOWNERS IN TEXAS, MISSOURI, AND IOWA TO FACILITATE PARTICIPATION IN THE MONARCH BUTTERFLY HABITAT EXCHANGE. LANDOWNER OUTREACH EFFORTS INCLUDED SITE VISITS, TECHNICAL GUIDANCE, AND HABITAT ASSESSMENTS. BIODIVERSITY WORKS ALSO WORKED WITH LANDOWNERS TO IDENTIFY SITES SUITABLE FOR HABITAT ENHANCEMENT AND/OR RESTORATION FOR THE BENEFIT OF MONARCH BUTTERFLIES; TO DEVELOP LAND MANAGEMENT PLANS AND STEWARDSHIP AGREEMENTS; AND TO GUIDE AND/OR ASSIST WITH IMPLEMENTATION OF HABITAT ENHANCEMENT/RESTORATION ACTIVITIES. BIODIVERSITY WORKS PROVIDED A $20,000 GRANT TO MISSOURI PRAIRIE FOUNDATION FOR MONARCH AND POLLINATOR HABITAT RESTORATION PROJECTS ON HOG PRODUCTION FARMS IN MISSOURI.
