THIS YEAR WERE ABLE TO HAVE MULTIPLE CLEAN UP EVENTS AND COMPLETE OUR FUNDRAISING FOR THE PARK'S NEW AND PLANNED AMENITY (THE TURTLE REPLICA CHILDREN'S PLAY STRUCTURE MENTIONED IN LAST YEAR'S TAX RETURN). WE ALSO PAID THE FIRST INSTALLMENT PAYMENT TO THE ARTIST WHO IS CREATING THE STRUCTURE. THE CLEAN UP EVENTS WERE SUPPORTED BY GIRL SCOUT AND BOY SCOUT TROOPS IN THE COMMUNITY AND INCLUDED THE SCOUTS, THEIR LEADERS, PARENTS, FRIENDS, AND VOLUNTEERS. THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE PARTICIPATING IN THESE EVENTS TOTALED OVER 200 BUT THE BENEFITS DERIVED AFFECTED THOUSANDS (ALL THOSE WHO VISITED THE PARK DURING THE YEAR.) WE WERE ALSO ABLE TO RESUME OUR LATE SPRING FREE COMMUNITY PICNIC WHICH WE REFER TO AS "HAPPY TRAILS AND HOT DOGS". WE PURCHASED SEVERAL TENTS AND TABLES IN SUPPORT OF OUR OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES DURING THE YEAR.
