IN 2023, THE GLOBAL CONVERSATION ON BOARD DIVERSITY HELD 1 VIRTUAL CONVERSATIONS AND 17 CITY CONVERSATIONS. EVENTS ARE ORGANIZED AND RUN BY A VOLUNTEER CHAIR OR CO-CHAIRS. 5050WOB ENTERS INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE CHAIR OR CO-CHAIRS FOR THE PLANNING AND FUNDRAISING FOR THE EVENT, BUT EXPENSES ARE INCURRED BY, AND PROCEEDS ARE PAID TO THE ORGANIZATION. ALL PROCEEDS FOR 5050WOB MANAGED EVENTS ARE RETAINED BY THE ORGANIZATION. ALL GBCD EVENTS ARE ENTIRELY RUN BY VOLUNTEERS AND WERE MOSTLY HELD IN THE MONTHS OF SEPTEMBER THROUGH DECEMBER OF 2023. THE EVENTS ARE CENTERED AROUND A THEME RELATED TO THE ORGANIZATIONS MISSION, WHICH IS DISCUSSED BY A SPEAKER OR PANEL OF SPEAKERS. INDIVIDUAL ATTENDEES PAY FOR ENTRY BASED ON A SELECTION OF ONE EVENT AND ADD-ON EVENTS IF THEY WOULD LIKE TO ATTEND MORE THAN ONE EVENT. EDUCATION AND RESEARCH. SINCE 2010, WE'VE BEEN ANALYZING AND REPORTING ON PUBLIC COMPANY BOARD DIVERSIFICATION. OUR QUARTERLY AND ANNUAL REPORTS IDENTIFY FACTORS THAT PROMOTE OR IMPEDE GENDER BALANCE AND DIVERSITY, WHILE OUR GENDER DIVERSITY DIRECTORY INDEX ENABLES USERS TO SEARCH BY COMPANY NAME, STATE, SECTOR, AND BOARD RATING TO IDENTIFY COMPANIES LACKING WOMEN ON THEIR BOARDS.
INDIVIDUAL VIRTUAL WORKSHOPS ARE OFFERED BASED ON TWO TIER SYSTEM. TIER ONE IS AN INTENSIVE TRAINING PROGRAM THAT PROVIDES SENIOR-LEVEL AND C-SUITE WOMEN EXECUTIVES THE STRATEGIC TOOLS TO PURSUE THEIR FIRST PUBLIC OR PRIVATE CORPORATE BOARD SEAT. TIER TWO PROVIDES MID-CAREER WOMEN EXECUTIVES THE OPPORTUNITY TO EXPLORE WHETHER A BOARD SEAT IS RIGHT FOR THEM, AND INCREASED VISIBILITY AS AN ASPIRING BOARD CANDIDATE. EACH WORKSHOP IS LIMITED TO 25 PARTICIPANTS, WHO PAY TUITION, WHICH RANGE IN PRICE BETWEEN $350.00 AND $1,500.00. CORPORATE VIRTUAL WORKSHOPS ARE OFFERED EXCLUSIVELY TO CORPORATIONS WHO WISH TO PURCHASE A WORKSHOP FOR THEIR EMPLOYEES. EACH WORKSHOP IS LIMITED TO 20-25 PARTICIPANTS DEPENDING ON PURCHASED WORKSHOP, THE CORPORATION PAYS TUITION, WHICH RANGE IN PRICE BETWEEN $10,000 TO $25,000.
