MS. JD SEEKS TO SUPPORT AND IMPROVE THE EXPERIENCES OF WOMENT LAW STUDENTS AND LAWYERS. MS. JD SPREADS THE WORD: WOMEN'S VICTORIES ARE EVERYONE'S VICTORIES. THIS IS A SPACE WHERE PRE-LAW STUDENTS, LAW STUDENTS, AND LAWYERS CONNECT TO PROVIDE ONE ANOTHER SUPPORT, ADVICE AND MENTORSHIP.

LADDHER UP RETREAT: THE ANNUAL LADDHER UP RETREAT HOSTS EARLY CAREER LAW FIRM ASSOCIATES AND FEMALE GENERAL COUNSEL ATTORNEYS FROM ACROSS THE U.S. AT A RESORT IN NAPA, CA. LADDHER UP IS A UNIQUE RETREAT FOR WOMEN LAW FIRM ASSOCIATES IN THE EARLIER STAGES OF THEIR CAREERS - IN THEIR FIRST SIX YEARS OF PRACTICE - TO PERSONALLY ENGAGE WITH WOMEN GENERAL COUNSEL FOR: TWO DAYS OF PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT ON EFFECTIVELY PITCHING TO POTENTIAL CLIENTS, INTERRUPTING IMPLICIT BIAS, AND BUILDING SKILLS FOR A POTENTIAL GENERAL COUNSEL ROLE IN THE FUTURE; TRANSPARENT 2:1 CAREER STRATEGY DISCUSSIONS WITH GENERAL COUNSEL; AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT AND MENTORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES THROUGH CURATED EVENTS.


LAW STUDENT LEADERSHIP ACADEMY: MS. JD SUPPORTS WOMEN LAW STUDENTS THROUGH THE NATIONAL WOMEN LAW STUDENTS' ORGANIZATION (NWLSO), WHICH REPRESENTS THE INTERESTS OF WOMEN LAW STUDENTS, PROVIDES A FORUM FOR WOMEN AT LAWS SCHOOLS ACROSS THE COUNTRY TO CONNECT WITH ONE ANOTHER AND EXPERIENCED PRACTITIONERS. MS. JD'S LAW STUDENT LEADERSHIP ACADEMY ENABLES STUDENTS TO TAKE THEIR LEADERSHIP AND LEGAL SKILLS TO THE NEXT LEVEL. THE EVENT PROVIDES STUDENTS WITH EVERYTHING NEEDED TO STEP INTO LEADERSHIP AND DRIVE THEIR SUCCESS IN LAW SCHOOL AND BEYOND. WITH IMPACTFUL, SKILL-BUILDING WORKSHOPS, EDUCATIONAL PANELS, AND AN EMPOWERING KEYNOTE SPEAKER, THE LAW STUDENT LEADERSHIP ACADEMY IS THE PERFECT PLACE TO HONE SKILLS AND MAKE LASTING CONTACTS. OUR 2022 LEADERSHIP ACADEMY WAS ATTENDED BY 250+ LAW SCHOOL STUDENTS REPRESENTING OVER 100 LAW SCHOOLS.


PRE-LAW BOOTCAMP: MS. JD'S PRE-LAW BOOTCAMP FURTHERS OUR MISSION OF PROMOTING THE SUCCESS OF ASPIRING WOMEN LAWYERS BY REMOVING OBSTACLES TO EQUAL PARTICIPATION IN LEGAL EDUCATION AND THE LEGAL PROFESSION. MS. JD'S PRE-LAW BOOTCAMP IS AN INTENSIVE VIRTUAL LAW SCHOOL PREP COURSE PROVIDING VALUABLE KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THE LAW SCHOOL ADMISSION PROCESS, STRATEGIES FOR MASTERING EACH SECTION OF THE LAW SCHOOL ADMISSION TEST (LSAT), SELECTING AND FINANCING LAW SCHOOL, AND POTENTIAL CAREER PATHS AVAILABLE TO LAW SCHOOL GRADUATES.
