DURING 2018, NEW CONSCIENCE, INC. HAD MANY ACTIVITIES. THE YEAR STARTED WITH A PRESENTATION OF THE HATEBRAKERS CURRICULUM GIVEN TO CULTURAL LEADERSHIP. A MONTH LATER, ANOTHER PRESENTATION WAS GIVEN AT PARKWAY SOUTH HIGH SCHOOL. IN ADDITION TO PRESENTATIONS, THE ORGANIZATION PARTNERED WITH WASHINGTON UNIVERSITY FOR A FILM STUDY SERIES. AFTER MAY, NEW CONSCIENCE WAS FOCUSED ON THE ANNUAL HATEBRAKERS' AWARDS EVENT AT THE MISSOURI HISTORY MUSEUM. IN PREPARATION FOR THAT EVENT, TWO HATEBRAKERS WERE INTERVIEWED AND ADDED TO THE VIDEO VAULT. PRIOR TO THE EVENT, A HATEBRAKERS' REUNION WAS SCHEDULED TO HONOR OUR PAST AND PRESENT HEROES. AFTER THE ANNUAL HATEBRAKERS HERO AWARDS, NEW CONSCIENCE PARTNERED WITH WEBSTER UNIVERSITY TO BE A PART OF WHAT BECAME KNOWN AS HATEBRAKERS IN HISTORY. THIS WRAPPED UP THE YEAR.
