THE ZAFIA'S FAMILY HOUSE MISSION IS TO CONSTRUCT, MAINTAIN AND PROVIDE TEMPORARY HOUSING FOR FAMILIES OF CHILDREN UNDERGOING MEDICAL TREATMENT IN THE GREATER ROSEVILLE AREA.

THE BOARD DISCUSSED VARIOUS WAYS TO BEGIN HOUSING FAMILIES IN NEED AS THEY EVALUATE THEIR BRICKS AND MORTAL MODEL OF BUILDING A BUILDING.WE UNANIMOUSLY AGREED TO BEGIN A PILOT TESTING THE EFFECTIVENESS OF A VOUCHER PROGRAM AND TO HOUSE FAMILIES IN NEED FOR SUTTER AND KAISER HOSPITALS.ZAFIAS FAMILY HOUSE BEGAN OFFERING FAMILIES HOUSING IN 2018 THROUGH A PILOT PARTNERSHIP WITH BEST WESTERN ORCHID HOTEL AND SUITES. THE ARRANGEMENT PROVIDES A FLEXIBLE COST STRUCTURE WITH NOMINAL FEE OF $20 PER DAY PAYABLE TO BEST WESTERN AND ZAFIAS FAMILY HOUSE CONTRIBUTES THE BALANCE OF THE COSTS.
