ABILITIES TENNIS ASSOCIATION OF NORTH CAROLINA PROVIDES TENNIS OPPORTUNITIES FOR ATHLETES WITH INTELLECTUAL DISABILITIES ACROSS THE STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA. EACH YEAR, ATANC SUPPORTS WEEKLY TENNIS CLINICS FOR INSTRUCTION AND PRACTICE AT 32 LOCATIONS, HOSTS 6 TOURNAMENTS, INTRODUCES TENNIS TO NEW PLAYERS THROUGH SCHOOLS AND SUMMER CAMP PROGRAMS. ATANC LEADS COACH AND VOLUNTEER TRAINING SEVERAL TIMES A YEAR TO ENSURE THAT ALL PROGRAMS ARE WELL STAFFED AND SELF-SUSTAINING. OVER 500 ATHLETES FROM AGES 8 THROUGH ADULT ARE SERVED BY ATANC PROGRAMS.
