THE ORGANIZATION'S 10 COMMITTEES CRAFTED SIX STRATEGIC GOALS: 1) DEVELOPING AND DEPLOYING ALL OF MISSISSIPPI'S NATURAL, NUCLEAR, AND RENEWABLE RESOURCES FOR THE FUTURE IN AN ENVIRONMENTALLY RESPONSIBLE MANNER. 2) EXPANDING MISSISSIPPI'S CARBON CAPTURE AND SEQUESTRATION INDUSTRY. 3) ENCOURAGING ENERGY EFFICIENCY AND THE SMART GRID IN MISSISSIPPI. 4) PREPARING MISSISSIPPI'S 21ST CENTURY WORKFORCE FOR EXISTING AND EMERGING ENERGY SECTOR NEEDS AND INNOVATION. 5) SUPPORTING THE DEVELOPMENT OF ENERGY INFRASTRUCTURE AND ADVANCED ENERGY SECTOR MANUFACTURING IN MISSISSIPPI. 6) ASSESSING THE IMPACT OF FEDERAL AND STATE REGULATORY PROPOSALS.
