SPOTTSWOOD CDC IS AN EMERGING NEW ORLEANS-BASED NOT-FOR-PROFIT AGENCY AT THE FOREFRONT OF COMMUNITY AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT. OUR MISSION IS GROUNDED IN THE BELIEF THAT INFORMED INDIVIDUALS, NEIGHBORHOODS AND BUSINESSES ARE BETTER ABLE TO: 1) TAKE CONTROL OF THEIR CIRCUMSTANCES; 2) IMPROVE THEIR QUALITY OF LIFE; AND 3) ENSURE A STABLE FUTURE FOR THEMSELVES AND THEIR FAMILIES SCDC ENRICHES THE LIVES OF LOUISIANIANS BY PROVIDING QUALITY INITIATIVES AND SERVICES INCLUDING FINANCIAL LITERACY WORKSHOPS, HOUSING COUNSELING, AFFORDABLE HOUSING, SMALL BUSINESS CONSULTING/BACK-OFFICE SERVICES AND SEVERAL OTHER NEIGHBORHOOD/COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVES.
