WE HOSTED OUR DIN ENERGY EDUCATIONAL VIRTUAL WORKSHOPS TO EDUCATE ON THE NEED FOR A NAVAJO NATION BLM METHANE POLICY, THE 10-MILE BUFFER ZONE AROUND CHACO CANYON, AND VARIOUS ENVIRONMENTAL CONCERNS ON THE NAVAJO NATION. THIS INCLUDED THE CONTINUATION OF THE WORK ON THE ENERGY TRANSITION ACT, WHICH CREATES AN EQUITABLE TRANSITION FROM FOSSIL FUELS TO A CLEAN-ENERGY ECONOMY. IT ALSO LOWERS RATES, PROVIDES SIGNIFICANT REINVESTMENT IN THE FOUR CORNERS COMMUNITY, ENSURES SAN JUAN COAL PLANT IS RETIRED, AND CREATES A SAFETY NET FOR COAL WORKERS. WE LED THE NATIVE REDISTRICTING COALITION IN NEW MEXICO TO WORK WITH ALL 23 TRIBAL NATIONS IN NM, STATE OFFICIALS, DEMOGRAPHERS, POLICY ADVISORS, AND COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS TO CREATE A TRIBAL CONSENSUS MAP. WE WORKED TO OVERCOME ALL BARRIERS TO VOTE IN ELECTIONS IN 2021 WHERE THERE WAS STILL A HUGE DROP OFF ON VOTERSHIP LARGELY DUE TO COVID.
