THE PRIMARY PURPOSE OF GAP MINSTRIES IS THAT OF CHRISTIANS CONFRONTING EMPTINESS, CHOOSING COMPASSION, AND CREATING COMMUNITY. THEY WALK ALONGSIDE OF AT-RISK FAMILIES AND THOSE IN NEED BY PROVIDING SERVICES THAT WILL CREATE OPPORTUNITIES TO OBTAIN AND RETAIN JOBS AND EASE BURDENS ALONG THE WAY. THEIR PROGRAMS CONSIST OF A FOOD PANTRY, PROVIDING ASSISTANCE IN FILLING PRESCRIPTIONS, PROVIDING ASSISTANCE IN OBTAINING BIRTH CERTIFICATES OR OTHER PHOTO ID'S, AND A DIAPER MINISTRY TO PROVIDE DIAPERS AT A LOW COST.

PRESCRIPTION ASSISTANCE/HEALTH MINISTRY - NURSES ARE AVAILABLE EACH WEEK TO HELP INDIVIDUALS OBTAIN PRESCRIPTIONS AT LITTLE TO NO COST TO THE INDIVIDUAL.INDENTIFICATION MINISTRY - PROVIDES ASSISTANCE OBTAINING BIRTH CERTIFICATES AND IDENTIFICATION CARDS OR DRIVER'S LICENSES FOR INDIVIDUALS. FOOD PANTRY - THE MINISTRY PROVIDES A CHOICE FOOD PANTRY WHERE INDIVIDUALS ARE ALLOWED TO CHOOSE WHAT THEY WOULD LIKE FROM THE SELECTION OF FOODS AVAILABLE.DIAPER MINISTRY - THE MINISTRY OBTAINS DIAPERS FROM EITHER PURCHASE OR DONATION AND REPACKAGES THEM FOR INDIVIDUALS ONCE A WEEK. SUNDAY NIGHT MINISTRY - ON SUNDAYS, THE MINISTRY HOLDS A WEEKLY WORSHIP SERVICE AND MEAL FOLLOWING FOR INDIVIDUALS. THE MEAL IS USUALLY DONATED OR PREPARED BY PARTNER CHURCHES OR ORGANIZATIONS. THERE IS LITTLE COST TO THE MINISTRY FOR THIS PROGRAM. OTHER PROGRAM EXPENSES - THE MINISTRY PROVIDES VARIOUS OTHER SERVICES FOR INDIVIDUALS AS WELL.
