THE ORGANIZATION'S MAIN PROGRAM IS TO AID WOUNDED VETERANS IN CLIMBING SOME OF THE WORLD'S TALLEST MOUNTAIN PEAKS AND DOES THIS WITH TWO SPECIFIC PROGRAMS - OPERATION 7 SUMMITS AND OPERATION 7 VOLCANOES. OPERATION 7 SUMMITS HAS BEEN RUNNING SINCE THE SUMMER OF 2010 THE CLIMBING OF MT. DENALI IN ALASKA. THE MOST RECENT MISSION FOR OPERATION 7 SUMMITS WAS THE CARSENSZ PYRAMID IN OCTOBER 2017. OPERATION 7 VOLCANOES STARTED IN 2015 AND THE TWO MOST RECENT MISSIONS FOR OPERTATION 7 VOLCANOES WERE OJOS DEL SALADO IN ARGENTINA IN MARCH 2018 AND MT. ELBRUS IN RUSSIA IN OCTOBER 2019.FURTHER MISSIONS WERE BEING PLANNED FOR OPERATION 7 SUMMITS AND OPERATION 7 VOLCANOES, HOWEVER DUE TO THE WORLDWIDE PANDEMIC (TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS, ETC), THESE MISSIONS WERE PUT ON HOLD UNTIL THEY COULD BE RUN SAFELY AND WORLDWIDE TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS WERE LIFTED. IN SUPPORT OF THE OPERATION 7 SUMMITS AND OPERATION 7 VOLCANOES, THE ORGANIZATION HOLDS AN ANNUAL EVENT AT MT. BALDY - CLIMB FOR HEROES. THE CLIMB FOR HEROES PROGRAM HAS SUPPORTERS AND VETERANS CLIMB THE SUMMIT OF MT. BALDY TOGETHER. THE 2021 CLIMB FOR HEROES EVENT WAS HELD ON VETERANS' DAY WEEKEND IN 2021. THE ANNUAL 2022 MT. BALDY CLIMB FOR HEROES PROGRAM EVENT WILL BE HELD ON NOVEMBER 12, 2022 ON VETERAN'S DAY WEEKEND. REGISTRATION FOR THIS EVENT WILL OPEN UP IN THE SUMMER OF 2022.ADDITIONAL PROGRAM PLANS INCLUDE TO BUILD A BASE LODGE AT THE BASE OF MT. BALDY TO PROVIDE A TRAINING GROUND FOR THE VETERANS PARTICIPATING IN THE FUTURE OPERATION 7 SUMMITS AND OPERATION 7 VOLCANOES MISSIONS. GROUND WAS BROKEN ON THE BASE LODGE AT MT. BALDY DURING THE 2021 CALENDAR YEAR AND CONSTRUCTION ON THE BASE LODGE WILL CONTINUE OVER THE COURSE OF A COUPLE OF YEARS.
