THE ROBERT RADTKE MEMORIAL SAILING FUND WAS ESTABLISHED IN MEMORY OF ROBERT RADTKE WHO WAS A VERY ACTIVE SAILING MEMBER OF THE ORLEANS YACHT CLUB INC. THE PURPOSE OF THIS FUND IS TO PROVIDE GRANTS TO CHILDREN IN NEED OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO ALLOW THEM TO PARTICIPATE IN THE ORLEANS YACHT CLUBS JUNIOR SAILING PROGRAM. UP TO 32 WEEKS OF SCHOLARSHIPS ARE AWARDED EACH YEAR TO ELIGIBLE NAUSET SCHOOL SYSTEM STUDENTS. RADTKE FUNDS MAY ALSO BE USED TO DEFRAY EXPENSES FOR STUDENTS PARTICIPATING IN REGIONAL, NATIONAL OR INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP SAILING SERIES. APPLICATIONS FOR THESE SCHOLARSHIPS ARE DISTRIBUTED TO ALL SCHOOLS WITHIN THE SYSTEM EACH YEAR IN THE SPRING.
