IN FISCAL YEAR 2018, WE CONTINUED TO OPERATE THE FOLLOWING TWO WOMEN'S COOPERATIVES: WOMEN'S EMBROIDERY COOPERATIVE AT HINCHE, HAITI: THIS IS OUR LONGEST RUNNING PROGRAM AND IT CONTINUED IN FY2018 AS BEFORE. THE WOMEN IN THE COOPERATIVE MAKE EMBROIDERED PRODUCTS THAT ARE DESIGNED AND MARKETED BY 1000 JOBS. THESE ITEMS ARE SOLD THROUGH THE 1000 JOBS WEBSITE (1000JOBSHAITI.ORG). WE PROVIDED SALARIES FOR THE SUPERVISORY WOMEN AND WAGES FOR THE WORKERS UNDER THEIR SUPERVISION.KNITTING COOPERATIVE AT MIREBALAIS AND SURROUNDING COUNTRYSIDE: SOME 11 WOMEN WHO IN PAST YEARS HAVE BEEN EXCLUSIVELY KNITTING PRODUCTS FOR 1000 JOBS IS NOW ALSO ENGAGED IN ADDITIONAL SUSTAINABLE WORK - BEEKEEPING AND MORINGA TREE CULTIVATION. OPERATIONS OF THE ORGANIZATION WERE DISCONTINUED AS OF JUNE 30, 2018; THEREFORE, THE ORGANIZATION IS FILING A FINAL RETURN.
