THROUGHOUT 2022, LA COMMUNITY ALLIANCE (LACA) DISTRIBUTED FOOD AID TO UNDERSERVED COMMUNITIES, VOLUNTEERED GROOMING SERVICES TO UNSHELTERED/ HOUSELESS INDIVIDUALS, PROVIDED STREET CLEANUP AND ORGANIZED NEIGHBORHOOD BEAUTIFICATION CAMPAIGNS, RUN THE ANNUAL TOY DRIVE FOR VULNERABLE KIDS AND FAMILIES, AND OFFERED SERVICE AND LABOR HOURS EARNING OPPORTUNITIES TO COURT-APPOINTED INDIVIDUALS. 2022 IN NUMBERS: 83,000 LBS OF FOOD DISTRIBUTED; 3,653 FAMILIES AND 11,864 INDIVIDUALS SERVED. 297 CHILDREN WERE GIFTED TOYS VALUED AT $11,880 IN TOTAL. 211 INDIVIDUALS WERE KEPT OUT OF INCARCERATION AS THEY PERFORMED COMMUNITY SERVICE AND LABOR HOURS - 4,402 SERVICE HOURS AND 9,181 LABOR HOURS.
