THE FRANKLIN-SOUTHAMPTON AREA CHAMBER FOUNDATION'S MAIN PURPOSE IS TO SUPPORT AND ASSIST THE FRANKLIN-SOUTHAMPTON AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE IN ITS COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES. THE FOUNDATION ASSISTS IN ATTRACTING BUSINESS AND INDUSTRY TO THE COMMUNITY, AID IN JOB EMPLOYMENT AND HELP IN JOB SEARCH AND TRAINING. THE FOUNDATION RUNS THE FRANKLIN-SOUTHAMPTON CRIME SOLVERS PROGRAM. THIS IS A PUBLIC SAFETY PROGRAM WHICH TAKES IN DONATIONS FROM LOCAL CITIZENS AND BUSINESSES AND GIVES MONETARY AWARDS FOR INFORMATION LEADING TO ARRESTS. THE ULTIMATE GOAL OF THIS PROGRAM IS TO MAKE THE COMMUNITY SAFER. ANOTHER PURPOSE OF THE FOUNDATION IS TO PRESERVE THE 1870'S HISTORICAL BUILDING OF THE CHAMBER SO THAT IT CAN REMAIN A COMMUNITY ICON FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS.
