CLIENT COUNSELING: PROVIDE ONE-ON-ONE COUNSELING TO BUSINESS OWNERS AND ENTREPRENEURS ON BUSINESS PLANNING IN THE AREAS OF FINANCE, MARKETING, AND GROWTH STRATEGIES. FOR FYE 6/30/2021, THE SBDC CONTINUED TO FOCUS ON ECONOMIC RECOVERY OF SMALL BUSINESSES THAT WERE AFFECTED BY THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC. IN FYE 6/30/2021, THE SBDC HELD 957 COUNSELING SESSIONS WITH SMALL BUSINESSES, ASSISTING 471 DISTINCT CLIENTS.


EVENTS AND EDUCATION: ORGANIZE AND HOST WORKSHOPS AND EDUCATIONAL EVENTS FOR BUSINESS OWNERS AND ENTREPRENEURS ON A VARIETY OF TOPICS YEAR-ROUND. IN FYE 06/30/2021, THE SBDC HELD 14 EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS WITH A TOTAL OF 314 ATTENDEES ON TOPICS RANGING FROM FINANCING A SMALL BUSINESS, BRANDING, HIRING, MANAGING AND RETAINING EMPLOYEES, AND STATE AND LOCAL CONTRACTING. THE SBDC ALSO HELD AN ADDITIONAL 12 MEETINGS TO ENGAGE AND COORDINATE THE SMALL BUSINESS COMMUNITY IN ALEXANDRIA. THE SBDC ALSO USES IT'S WEBSITE TO PROVIDE AN ONLINE LIBRARY OF RESOURCES, CHECKLISTS, AND OTHER TOOLS FOR BUSINESS OWNERS AND ENTREPRENEURS.
