THE MISSION OF THE PTA IS TO SUPPORT THE ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE OF PS/IS 276 KNOWN AS THE BATTERY PARK SCHOOL FOR GRADES K THROUGH 8. THE PTA RAISES FUNDS TO SUPPLEMENT AND SUPPORT OVER 800 STUDENTS AND ASSISTS IN TEACHER DEVELOPMENT AND EDUCATION.

HEALTH AND WELFARE PROGRAMS FOR THE STUDENTS INCLUDING HEAD LICE, PUBERTY PROGRAMS AND ADDITIONAL CLASSROOM EQUIPMENT, SUPPLIES AND MATERIALS TO SUPPLEMENT THOSE PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL.
TO PROVIDE ADDITIONAL RESOURCES SUCH AS AFTERSCHOOL ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS SUCH AS LIBRARY, WRITING WORKSHOP, CHESS PROGRAM, FOREIGN LANGUAGE PROGRAM, ASSISTANT TEACHERS FOR SUPPORT, AND VARIOUS OTHER ENRICHMENT AND AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAMS.
