OPERATE A 24 HOUR SUPERVISED HOMELESS SHELTER, PROVIDING RESIDENTS WITH A 90 DAY PROGRAM WITH CASE MANAGEMENT SERVICES, AND ASSISTING THEM WITH GOAL SETTING, PROBLEM SOLVING, AND CONNECTING THEM WITH AREA RESOURCES IN ORDER FOR THEM TO BECOME SELF-SUFFICIENT.

THE SHELTER HAS PROVIDED 68,432 BED NIGHTS FOR 1076 (770 ADULTS AND 300 CHILDREN) RESIDENTS SINCE 2011. ALL RESIDENTS WERE SERVED BY CASE MANAGERS WHO ASSISTED THE RESIDENTS WITH GOAL SETTING, PROBLEM SOLVING, AND CONNECTING WITH AREA RESOURCES IN ORDER TO BECOME SELF-SUFFICIENT UPON COMPLETION OF THE 90 DAY PROGRAM. ALSO, DURING THEIR STAY AT THE SHELTER, RESIDENTS WERE COUNSELED IN THE AREAS OF PERSONAL CARE, FAMILY LIVING, FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY, JOB INTERVIEWING, AND EMPLOYMENT RELATIONS. SEVENTY-SIX (70) PERCENT OF SHELTER RESIDENTS COMPLETED THE PROGRAM HAVING BOTH EMPLOYMENT AND HOUSING.
THE SHELTER HAS A CONTINUED CARE PROGRAM IN WHICH THE SHELTER ASSISTED PEOPLE COMPLETING THE ABOVE PROGRAM WITH FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE BY PROVIDING HELP WITH SECURITY DEPOSITS AND A PORTION OF THE FIRST COUPLE OF MONTHS RENT. RENTAL ASSISTANCE WAS PHASED OUT AS RESIDENT BECAME MORE SELF-SUFFICIENT ON EMPLOYMENT EARNINGS.
