Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
Part 3
DHF OFFERED WEEKLY GROUP ACTIVITIES WHICH WERE HELD ON TUESDAYS AFTER SCHOOL. THE GROUP DAY INCLUDED FOOD, AS KIDS ARE ALWAYS HUNGRY AFTER SCHOOL, GAMES, AND A MESSAGE ABOUT OUR JESUS. WE ARE HAPPY TO SAY THAT THIS GROUP OUT GREW OUR SMALL CLASS ROOM WITH SOMETIMES AROUND 20 KIDS, SO WE SPLIT THE GROUP UP SO THE BOYS MEET ON TUESDAY, AND THE GIRLS MEET ON FRIDAY.THE DHF TEAM TRAVELED TO A FEW HORSE COMPETITIONS IN THE AREA. OUR LITTLE TEAM NOT ONLY HAD A GREAT TIME AND LEARNED TO CARE FOR THEIR HORSE THROUGHOUT THE DAY, BUT WE TOOK HOME SEVERAL HIGH POINT AWARDS FOR THE DAY. ALL OF OUR PARTICIPANTS WERE MOUNTED ON HORSES THAT WERE RESCUED FROM THE KILL PEN WHICH WERE HORSES MARKED FOR SLAUGHTER.ONE OF THESE RIDERS HAS BEEN COMING TO THE RANCH SINCE SHE WAS SEVEN OR EIGHT. HER NAME IS ARRIANNA, ARIE FOR SHORT, AND SHE IS NOW SIXTEEN. ARIE LIVES WITH HER GRANDMOTHER AND HAS PRETTY MUCH GROWN UP WITHOUT A MOM OR DAD. IN 2013, DHF RESCUED A BEAUTIFUL LITTLE PALOMINO FILLY THAT THE KIDS FONDLY NAMED FAITH. ARIE FELL IN LOVE WITH FAITH BUT FAITH WAS NOT BROKE TO RIDE AND ARIE WAS STILL A PRETTY GREEN RIDER. IT WAS SO HARD FOR ARIE TO SEE OTHERS WORKING WITH HER BELOVED HORSE; BUT ARIE KEPT THE FAITH AND CONTINUED WORKING HARD AND FIGHTING THROUGH HER STRUGGLES AND THROUGH SOME AMAZING CIRCUMSTANCES, SHE WAS ABLE TO PURCHASE FAITH AND IS WINNING HIGH POINT AT MOST OF THE COMPETITIONS THAT SHE PARTICIPATES IN. FAITH AND ARIE ARE BEAUTIFUL TO WATCH AND TO SEE THIS LITTLE GAL LIVING HER DREAM IS AMAZING.ANOTHER LITTLE GAL, AMANDA, HAS ALSO BEEN COMING TO THE RANCH SINCE SHE WAS ABOUT SEVEN. SHE IS NOW FOURTEEN AND IS BECOMING A WONDERFUL TEACHER TO THE BEGINNERS WHO WANT TO LEARN ABOUT HORSES.IN 2018, WE ARE PLANNING TO ADD A TRAIL COURSE AND A SMALL CROSS COUNTRY JUMPING COURSE FOR MORE CHALLENGES TO OUR YOUNG RIDERS. THEY HAVE CONQUERED MOUNTAINS AND ARE LOOKING FOR MORE. WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO THE NEW SEASON AND SEEING WHERE OUR GLORIOUS LORD WILL LEAD.
