Describe the Organization's Program Activity:

Part 3

TNR COMMUNITY CAT RESCUE: IN 2023 WE HELPED 555 CATS BRINGING THE TOTAL HELPED SINCE 2011 TO OVER 7800 CATS. MOST WERE HUMANELY TRAPPED, SPAYED/NEUTERED AND RETURNED TO THEIR COLONIES WHERE THEY ARE CARED FOR. AS PART OF THIS PROCESS WE CONTINUED TO SOCIALIZE RESCUED KITTENS AND REHABILITATE ABANDONED ADULT CATS IN ORDER FOR THE TO FIND HOMES. ALMOST HALF OF THE CATS WE HELPED WERE NOT RETURNED TO THE STREET BUT INSTEAD WERE ADOPTED EITHER DIRECTLY THROUGH THE FORGOTTEN FELINES RESCUE FOSTER ADOPTION PROGRAM OR IN PARTNERSHIP WITH AREA SHELTERS AND OTHER ORGANIZATIONS AS PART OF THE METRO DENVER ANIMAL WELFARE ALLIANCE (MDAWA). APPROXIMATELY 300 OF THE CATS HELPED IN 2023 WERE FEMALE AND THEIR SPAYING ELIMINATED COUNTLESS FUTURE LITTERS OF KITTENS FROM BEING BORN, A CRITICAL STEP IN HELPING TO CONTROL THE CAT OVERPOPULATION PROBLEM.
