FOOD PANTRY - OUR CORE PROGRAM IS CALLED "THE MARKET" BECAUSE IT LOOKS LIKE A METROPOLITAN MARKET AND ENSURES NUTRITIONAL FOOD IS ACCESSIBLE TO THOSE HUNGRY OR FOOD INSECURE. WE PROVIDE FRESH PRODUCE, PROTEINS, DAIRY, STAPLES, AND DIETARY AND CULTURALLY REPRESENTED FOODS. THROUGH OUR VALUES, POLICIES, AND PRACTICES THAT DRIVE OUR INTERNAL CULTURE AND EXTERNAL PARTNERSHIPS, WE STRIVE FOR AN ENVIRONMENT WHERE ALL PEOPLE ARE TREATED WITH FAIRNESS; AND ACCESS TO FOOD IS A RIGHT. IN THE 2021 SHORT FISCAL-YEAR, THE ORGANIZATION SERVED 6,859 CLIENTS FROM 1,120 HOUSEHOLDS THROUGH THIS PROGRAM.
FOOD4KIDS -A MICRO-PROGRAM OUT OF THE FOOD PANTRY IS THE KID'S BACKPACK PROGRAM WHICH PROVIDES MUCH-NEEDED NOURISHMENT OVER THE WEEKEND, SO STUDENTS ARE FOCUSED AND READY TO LEARN UPON RETURNING TO SCHOOL. IN ADDITION, THE PROGRAM ALSO INCLUDES HIGH SCHOOL LEADERSHIP DEVELOP ACTIVITIES, AND FOOD LEARNING ACTIVITIES FOR YOUNG CHILDREN. IN THE 2021 SHORT FISCAL-YEAR, THE ORGANIZATION SERVED 3,190 SACKS OF WEEKEND FOOD TO 798 AT-RISK STUDENTS.
OTHER PROGRAMS - THE BASICALLY NEEDED PROGRAM PROVIDES DIAPERS, PERSONAL CARE ITEMS, PET FOOD, AND CRISIS SUPPORT. IN THE 2021 SHORT FISCAL-YEAR, THE ORGANIZATION SERVED 863 CLIENTS FROM 268 HOUSEHOLDS THROUGH THE BASICALLY NEEDED PROGRAM. IN ADDITION, WITH THE GARDEN PROGRAM, WE GROW FRESH PRODUCE AND FRUIT IN RAISED GARDENS THROUGHOUT THE PROPERTY THAT OUR CUSTOMERS CAN PICK WHEN THEY VISIT.
