TO PROVIDE SUPPORT AND RESOURCES TO THE SCHOOL FOR THE BENEFIT AND EDUCATIONAL GROWTH OF THE CHILDREN; TO DEVELOP A COOPERATIVE WORKING RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE PARENTS AND STAFF OF OUR SCHOOL; TO DEVELOP PARENT LEADERSHIP AND BUILD CAPACITY FOR GREATER INVOLVEMENT; TO FOSTER AND ENCOURAGE PARENT PARTICIPATION ON ALL LEVELS; TO PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES AND TRAINING FOR PARENTS TO PARTICIPATE IN SCHOOL GOVERNANCE AND DECISION-MAKING.

THE PTA PROVIDED FUNDING DIRECTLY TO PS 11 PROGRAM TO SUPPLEMENT THE SCHOOL'S BUDGET INCLUDING ADDING TEACHERS, SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS AND SUPPLIES.


THE PTA PROVIDES FUNDING TO SEND TEACHERS OF PS 11 TO TEACHERS COLLEGE OF COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY. TEACHERS COLLEGE PROVIDES THE TEACHERS WITH THE LATEST ADVANCES IN EDUCATION AND INSTRUCTION WHICH IS THEN IMPLEMENTED IN THE CLASSROOMS TO FURTHER THE EDUCATION OF THE STUDENTS.


THE FRIENDS AND FAMILY OF PS 11 PROVIDE SUPPORT FOR STUDENTS AND TEACHERS TO HELP FUND SEVERAL PROGRAMS, TRIPS, SUPPLIES, EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT, AND LUNCHEONS.


PS 11 PROGRAMS IS A NON-PROFIT THAT PROVIDES ENRICHMENT ACTIVITIES TO THE STUDENTS OF PS 11. IN 2021/2022, THE PTA PROVIDED FUNDING FOR VARIOUS PROGRAMS INCLUDING RECESS COORDINATORS, THEATER, GREEN MARKET PROGRAMS, AND OTHERS.
