CENTERS FOR EXCELLENCE: OUR BOARDING SCHOOLS, THE KAKENYA CENTER FOR EXCELLENCE (KCE I AND II) CURRENTLY SERVE 308 GIRLS IN GRADES 4-12 IN A SAFE, SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT. IN ADDITION TO PROVIDING A WORLD-CLASS EDUCATION, OUR HOLISTIC PROGRAMMING ENSURES EACH AND EVERY GIRLS UNIQUE PHYSICAL, SOCIAL, AND EMOTIONAL NEEDS ARE MET SO THAT SHE CAN ACHIEVE HER FULL POTENTIAL. HEALTH AND LEADERSHIP TRAINING PROGRAM: OUR UNIQUE TRAINING PROGRAM IS DESIGNED TO EMPOWER ADOLESCENTS BY PROVIDING CRITICAL INFORMATION AT A TIME WHEN THEY ARE AT RISK OF UNDERGOING FEMALE GENITAL MUTILATION AND BEING FORCED INTO AN EARLY MARRIAGE. WE HAVE REACHED OVER 15,000 GIRLS AND BOYS WITH TRAINING ON COMPREHENSIVE SEX EDUCATION, INFORMATION ABOUT THE DANGERS OF FGM AND CHILD MARRIAGE, KNOWLEDGE OF THEIR LEGAL RIGHTS, AND LIFE SKILLS TRAINING. NETWORK FOR EXCELLENCE: OUR COMMITMENT TO OUR GIRLS DOES NOT END WHEN THEY FINISH PRIMARY SCHOOL. WE SUPPORT GIRLS WHO HAVE GRADUATED FROM OUR PRIMARY BOARDING SCHOOL AS THEY CONTINUE TO HIGH SCHOOL AND HIGHER EDUCATION THROUGH OUR NETWORK FOR EXCELLENCE PROGRAM. WE HAVE PROVIDED OVER 250 STUDENTS WITH MENTORSHIP, SCHOLARSHIPS, ACADEMIC SUPPORT, CONTINUED LEADERSHIP TRAINING, AND VOCATIONAL COUNSELING.
