THE SANDPOINT LIONS CLUB FOUNDATION PROVIDED TOYS AND GIFT CERTIFICATES FOR CHILDREN AGES 0 THROUGH 16, AND PROVIDED FAMILIES IN NEED WITH FOOD BOXES FOR CHRISTMAS DINNERS. HOSTED THE ANNUAL EASTER EGG HUNT FOR 600 TO 700 CHILDREN. SPONSORED THE TOWN'S ANNUAL 4TH OF JULY PARADE, CARNIVAL AND FIREWORKS FOR THE CITY OF SANDPOINT. PROVIDED EYE EXAMS AND EYE GLASSES TO THE NEEDY. PLACED AMERICAN FLAGS IN THE DOWNTOWN RETAIL CORRIDOR ON EIGHT DIFFERENT NATIONAL HOLIDAYS. THE FOUNDATION ALSO DONATED TOYS TO CHILDREN THROUGH THE REST OF THE YEAR, WHO HAD RECENTLY SUFFERED HARDSHIPS SUCH AS HOUSE FIRES, ILLNESSES OR THE LOSS OF A FAMILY MEMBER.
