THE FOUNDATION TRADITIONALLY HOLDS A MAJOR FUNDRAISING EVENT FOR THE BENEFIT OF VARIOUS LOCAL 501(C)(3) ORGANIZATIONS INCLUDING THE CONNECTICUT WOMENS' CENTER OF SOUTHEASTERN CT AND TOYS FOR TOTS. IN ADDITION TO RAISING FUNDS TO BOTH OF THESE CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS, IT RAISED AWARENESS OF THE PLIGHT OF WOMEN AND THEIR CHILDREN WHEN DISPLAED BY DOMESTIC ABUSE AND VIOLENCE. NO EVENT WAS HELD THIS YEAR, BUT DONATIONS TO THE CHARITIES WERE MADE DIRECTLY FROM THE FOUNDATION TO THE SUPPORTED 501(C)(3) ORGANIZATIONS.
