(LABOR MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE) WAS ORGANIZED AS AN AREA AND INDUSTRY WIDE LABOR-MANAGEMENT COOPERATION COMMITTEE FOR THE PURPOSE OF IMPROVING LABOR-MANAGEMENT RELATIONSHIPS, IMPROVING JOB SECURITY, ENHANCING ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND IMPROVING COMMUNICATION WITH RESPECT TO SUBJECTS OF MUTUAL INTEREST AND CONCERN.

IMPROVING THE BUSINESS CONDITIONS OF THE IRONWORKERS UNION CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY IN CENTRAL INDIANA THROUGH, AMONG OTHER THINGS, ESTABLISHMENT AND MAINTENANCE OF A MARKET RECOVERY TARGET FUND, WHICH IS USED TO ASSIST UNION CONTRACTORS AND THEIR WORKERS IN MAINTAINING EMPLOYMENT. THIS ACTIVITY WAS FIRST UNDERTAKEN FOLLOWING INCORPORATION IN OCTOBER OF 2008, AND FURTHERS THE EXEMPT PURPOSE OF THE ORGANIZATION BY PROMOTING THE IRONWORKER UNION CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY.
TO PROMOTE THE IRONWORKERS UNION CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY AND EDUCATE THE PUBLIC REGARDING THE INDUSTRY THROUGH INFORMATIONAL AND ADVERTISEMENT CAMPAIGNS. THIS ACTIVITY WAS FIRST UNDERTAKEN IN OCTOBER 2008, FOLLOWING INCORPORATION, AND FURTHERS THE EXEMPT PURPOSE OF THE ORGANIZATION BY PROMOTING THE IRONWORKER CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY THROUGH EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC.
