ARGENTA COMMUNITY THEATER OFFERED FIVE THEATRICAL PRODUCTIONS IN 2021. ARGENTA COMMUNITY THEATER PROVIDED TO THE COMMUNITY ACCESS TO A BLACK BOX THEATER FOR A NOMINAL FEE. ARGENTA COMMUNITY THEATER ALSO OFFERED THEIR FACILITY TO COMMUNITY NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS AT A REDUCED RATE.
ACTING UP IS A SUMMER PERFORMING ARTS CAMP FOR CHILDREN IN GRADES THREE THROUGH TWELVE. IT SERVES OUR LOCAL COMMUNITY BY PROVIDING A SAFE AND SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT FOR CHILDREN TO EXPLORE CREATIVITY AND EXPRESSION, WHILE ALSO PROVIDING SUMMER CHILD CARE AND A HEALTHY LUNCH DURING THE TWO WEEKS THAT CHILDREN ATTEND CAMP. CAMPERS REPRESENT A BROAD RANGE OF DEMOGRAPHICS, AND NEED BASED SCHOLARSHIPS ARE AVAILABLE TO STUDENTS FOR WHOM TUITION IS A BARRIER TO ATTENDANCE. CAMPERS ENGAGE IN IMMERSIVE PARTICIPATION IN THEATER, MUSIC, DANCE AND FILM, CULMINATING IN A FINAL PERFORMANCE FOR FRIENDS AND FAMILY AT THE END OF THE CAMP.
FUNDS GENERATED BY ACT EVENTS WILL BE TURNED BACK INTO THE COMMUNITY AND THE STATE OF ARKANSAS THROUGH GRANTS FOR ARTISTIC ORGANIZATIONS AND STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS. CONTINUING EDUCATION AND ENTERTAINMENT FOR ALL AGES WILL BE PRESENTED BY ACT THROUGH PROFESSIONAL QUALITY LIVE PRODUCTIONS.
