THE MISSION OF RCEF IS TO PROVIDE LEADERSHIP, ADVOCACY AND PROGRAM RESOURCES TO INCREASE THE EDUCATION LEVELS OF ROCKINGHAM COUNTY CITIZENS. BY DOING SO, WE WILL MAKE OUR COMMUNITY AN ATTRACTIVE PLACE TO LIVE, WORK AND DO BUSINESS.

PRINCIPALS FUND FUNDS THAT ARE ALLOCATED FROM THE REIDSVILLE AREA FOUNDATION TO THE PRINCIPALS OF ROCKINGHAM COUNTY SCHOOLS TO USE WHERE IT IS NEEDED.
TRAILS K-12 PROVIDES ACCESS TO NATURAL LEARNING SPACES FOR K-12 STUDENTS THROUGH CONSTRUCTION OF TRAILS AND LEARNING PARKS ON SCHOOL CAMPUSES FOR ACADEMICS, ATHLETICS, AND STUDENT HEALTH. TRAILS K-12 ALSO PROVIDES FIELD TRIPS FOR PUBLIC SCHOOLS TO LOCAL TRAILS AND RIVERS.
ROCKAID PROVIDES GROCERY ASSISTANCE TO PUBLIC SCHOOL STUDENTS-IN-NEED AND THEIR FAMILIES ACROSS ROCKINGHAM COUNTY IN ORDER TO HELP ALLEVIATE CHILDHOOD HUNGER.
THROUGH THE COLLEGE ADVISING PROGRAM THE SINGULAR FOCUS IS TO INCREASE SUCCESSFUL COLLEGE APPLICATION AND ATTENDANCE RATES AMONG THE STUDENTS. SUPPORT AND ASSISTANCE IS PROVIDED IN ALL FACETS OF THE COLLEGE ADDMISSIONS PROCESS, FROM CAMPUS VISITS TO SAT AND COLLEGE, SCHOLARSHIP AND FINANCIAL AID APPLICATIONS. THE PARENT ENGAGEMENT PROGRAM WAS FORMED TO WORK WITH COMMUNITY AND PARENT REPRESENTATIVES TO FACILITATE IMPROVEMENT IN STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT BY REDUCING BARRIERS TO LEARNING AT HOME, IN THE COMMUNITY AND AT SCHOOL. THE PIEDMONT INSTRUMENT CLASSES FOR KIDS (P.I.C.K.)PROVIDES TRADITIONAL BANJO, FIDDLE, AND QUITAR MUSIC LESSONS TO 3RD-5TH GRADE PUBLIC SCHOOL STUDENTS IN ROCKINGHAM COUNTY. STUDENTS ARE ALSO PROVIDED A LOANER INSTRUMENT FOR AS LONG AS THEY ARE ENROLLED IN THE PROGRAM.
