TEACHAITI PROVIDES GRANTS TO OPERATE THE SCHOOL OF HOPE, AN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN PORT-AU-PRINCE, HAITI, WHICH EDUCATES APPROXIMATELY 321 HAITIAN ELEMENTARY STUDENTS. THE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IS IN THE MOST IMPOVERISHED AREA OF PORT-AU-PRINCE.TEACHAITI ALSO FUNDS TUITION FOR APPROXIMATELY 325 ELEMENTARY, 152 HIGH SCHOOL AND 13 COLLEGE STUDENTS WHICH WILL GREATLY IMPROVE THEIR ECONOMIC FUTURE. THE FUNDS PROVIDED BY TEACHAITI PAY FOR THE STUDENTS' EDUCATION.
TEACHAITI IS BUILDING AND SUPPORTING A SCHOOL IN THE IMPOVERISHED TOWN OF ST. MICHEL. THE FIRST CLASS OF 32 STUDENTS STARTED IN 2016. THE SECOND PHASE OF THE SCHOOL IN ST. MICHEL HAS BEEN COMPLETED. THIS PHASE INCLUDED THE CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW SCHOOL BUILDING AND THE ADDITION OF ANOTHER GRADE LEVEL. THERE ARE NOW 125 STUDENTS AT ST. MICHEL PLUS ANOTHER 45 STUDENTS ON SCHOLARSHIP AT OTHER ST. MICHEL SCHOOLS.
