Describe the Organization's Program Activity:

Part 3 - Line 4a

THE LAKE CHAMPLAIN CHAMBER MUSIC FESTIVAL CELEBRATED ITS 14TH YEAR OF MUSIC WITH A VARIETY OF PERFORMANCES, EVENTS, AND OUR SIGNATURE SUMMER FESTIVAL. THIS YEAR'S SUMMER FESTIVAL FEATURED NINE DAYS OF MUSIC BY SOME OF THE WORLD'S GREATEST MUSICIANS; FAMILY PROGRAMS; MUSIC ENRICHMENT TALKS; RECEPTIONS; AND OUR VERMONT ARTISTS GALLERY OF FINE ARTS. WE GIVE BACK TO THE COMMUNITY THROUGH OUR ONE STRINGS PROGRAM THAT PROVIDES FREE VIOLIN INSTRUCTION AT THE H.O. WHEELER SCHOOL IN BURLINGTON, THE MOST DIVERSE AND FINANCIALLY DISADVANTAGED SCHOOL IN VERMONT.

THE FESTIVAL WAS A FISCAL SPONSOR FOR TURNMUSIC WHICH OFFERS CONTEMPORARY CONCERT CHAMBER MUSIC IN UNUSUAL SETTINGS WITH PERFORMANCES BY VERMONT MUSICIANS. CONDUCTOR ANNE DECKER HAS MIXED HER MUSICAL TASTES TO CREATE A UNIQUE SET OF PERFORMANCES IN RELAXED VENUES. LCCMF'S MISSION TO INSPIRE A LOVE OF CHAMBER MUSIC IN OUR COMMUNITY IS FURTHERED BY THE WORK OF TURNMUSIC. THE FESTIVAL ALSO SPONSORED "MUSIC IN THE BARN."
